Mr. Brown comes by his interest and talent in law legitimately. His great grandfather, grandfather, uncle, two cousins, two second cousins and a cousin by marriage have all been or are attorneys. Family get-togethers have always been a time for good cheer and discussions concerning ongoing legal work. His family instilled in him that it is an honor and obligation to have the opportunity to help those in need.
Mr. Brown's interests outside of his practice are varied. He was founder, board member and former president of The Carolina Raptor Center, now the largest bird of prey center on the east coast. He has traveled, hiked and camped around the world. He has served as soccer coach at the YMCA, a Cub Scout leader, a Boy Scout assistant scout master and is currently on the Boy Scout advisory board. He is an avid runner and tennis player having won a several local tournaments. His vegetable garden supplies friends and neighbors with fresh vegetables though out the summer.
Mr. Brown met the love of his life while in law school. During the early years of their marriage she worked as a science teacher, was selected as the Teacher of the Year for the local school system and served a as school administrator. After the birth of their two children she has worked as a volunteer in their school and with Charlotte's Children Choir. Their children are now in college with one pursuing a voice/education degree and the other majoring in psychology with an eye toward medical school or law school.
