James B. Puritz

Biography
James Puritz is a trial attorney who practices in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice.
James attended Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, where he majored in economics and played varsity men’s soccer and tennis. Following graduation, James worked as a financial analyst at a private bank in Boston before starting law school at Albany Law School. James finished his third year of legal studies while working full-time at an international law firm in Boston.
After graduating law school, James began his legal career as a prosecutor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before joining the City of Boston’s legal department as Assistant Corporation Counsel. After years in public service, James joined the largest medical malpractice firm in New England where he handled complex wrongful death and personal injury cases from intake through trial.
James is admitted to practice law in North Carolina, Massachusetts, and New York. James is a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and the North Carolina Bar Association.
James moved to Charlotte with his then fiancé, and now wife, in 2018. They enjoy all manner of sports and travel.
